It's been a long time since I posted something and here is why: When you transfer from one Institute to another inside USP you get a ton of trouble to anwser for and little help to do it. Right now I have three exams, four programs and one essay to finish by the end of this week so this is just a pre note for the weekend. By then, I hope that I can write about all the new games I aquired.

It has been more than a week since I aquired Fallout 3. What to say ?

It is a very awesome game but it did not trigger the awesome switch. You know, that feeling of obsessive compulsion that overwhelms your basic senses and makes you want to play the game every single moment of your life till you need to remember that you need to eat and do other stuff to keep playing. I liked the character creation and game tutorial. The open gaming experience is quite nice as well. After getting out of the vault you just don't know what to do. It took me some time to aquire a steady stream of ammunition for my selection of weapons and how to repair this same collection of firearms. So far so good. The graphics are awesome and the 1st / 3rd view camera is quite easy to adapt. Some have said that this is a good game but not Fallout. I say some people should get a mini nuke up theirs and stop crying about old games like old people mumbling about old days. This feels like Fallout to me, I can still kill everyone in sight or talk my way out of most of the sittuations. So frak off, play the game and stop bullshitting!

Back to Fallout 3. See you in the wastelands!

As of today I am no longer living by myself, again. This is the 8th passenger in my ship (a.k.a. my home) and I believe the last one. From my other seven experiences only two were good. The 3rd and 4th passengers were good shipmates. We had some arguments, some emo behavior and things like that but it always worked out. The others were a complete pain in the rear compartments. No respect, no self higine, no responsability with my house. No amount of money is worth people fighting and arguing all the time or waking up in the middle of the morning hearing intercourse sounds while some of them played Winning Eleven Porn Edition. No amount of pacience can withstand the smell of old socks and leathery bacon weathering in a baking hot sun that has been craped all over and poorly washed with used toilet water.

The 1st rule of this new partnership: NO BULLSHIT!
The 2nd rule: NO EMO BEHAVIOR!
The 3rd rule: NO FRAKIN BULLSHIT!

I think it will work, time will tell.

For the Emperor! That's what I would scream all day if I could but few would understand. I am surrounded by herectics, mutants and xenos. They should all fear the Emperor's Name.

Yep, I just spend a few hours playing DoW2 Beta. I liked it. The graphics looks awesome and breathtaking, the game mecanics have changed a lot but some familiar stuff remains. There are only four races to play and so far I only played with the Space Marines and the Eldar. I don't think I played enough to make a full evaluation of the game. Right now I'm still getting used to it and regreting that so few of my friends enjoy the righteous purge of the Emperor. So many Space Marines books to read, so many Ciaphas Cain novels to talk about and yet I can't pick their interest. It's just like Mercenaries 2, I can't get people to play here.

Tomorrow I shall have more to say on this game.

I need to buy more games!!!

I have a lot of games to play and yet I have to aquire more! EA's Mirror's Edge and Relic's Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War II are about to hit the stores around here (It takes some time after release to get here). Besides this two I am still looking for the Fallout 3 Collector's Edition and the Neverwinter Nights 2 expansions. These are hard to find... tried everywhere, the only possible solution was online and it was fraking expansive. No way in any frozen hell! Since I'm back home for the next two weeks I will dedicate myself to more Warhammer Online and the DoW2 demo launching on Steam January 21th if I am not mistaken. Aside from all this PC games orgy I still have Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Final Fantasy Dissidia and Star Ocean to finish on the PSP. Now that is a lot of games. The begining of my next term is drawing near...

A lot of games apart I finally upgraded my PC to mess around with some map/world making tools. I need some time to read some tutorials and the like but it's looking good. I got some neat ideas for two Left4Dead campaigns and I am eagerly waiting the SDK. In the near future I will also upgrade my notebook to be of more use in this new area.

Another set of good news is a new RPG book game I'll be playing in the next few days. Same not-so-old 3.5rd Edition Forgotten Realms game. I have an interesting Wizard/Sorcerer in mind to play. I still need to figure some stuff out and get a pretty complicated spell list in order but it looks good! I will use the usual Sunrunner front cover as my avatar for the game and write a journal somewhere around here. A lot of stuff to do and a lot more responsible not-online stuff to do. I'll try to manage it.
